One of the many reasons I love my job!

I love my job, but this is no secret. I love what I do and I love the people that I work with... but now and then things like this just happen in the middle of our work day!

Your giving me free what?!

Yes, shutterfly is giving out 50 Christmas cards for free!! Yay, I love free stuff and I love Shutterfly. I ordered all of our wedding pictures from their website and a cute calendar for my mom. It is amazing all the stuff they have on their website now.

We have only done Christmas cards once before and I was planning on doing them this year anyways... look at all the cute designs they have. I am having a hard time deciding which one I am going to choose. I am excited to be sending some of these back home to Mexico. I can't wait for our family to see an updated picture of us and just remember how much we care about them and miss them. Here are some of my favorites:

I love their simple designs, and their collection is huge I looked at least 300 of them. I wish I had kids because they make the cards look so cute... but we had some family pictures taken this year and I am excited to put them up on some of these. I think I really like #1 and #7 what do you think?

*** to get your own just go here.

I am so not good at trying to Post everyday.

I tried and I failed! this is so sad. things got crazy during the month of November. My Brother in Law had an accident and was in the hospital for a few days, He is doing well now but it was scary. I have been so busy at work that I hardly have any energy to get up to the computer and type. I am trying to be better though, and I have new goals for the new year. Like trying to post a few times a week. I am just so disappointed at myself for not being able to post everyday in November! Agggh. I'll be better though... you will see!

November 11th - Day 11

Today I am grateful for leftovers. It is so hard to come home from work and have to cook dinner. Which is why I love crockpots, I can just put everything in there and come home and have dinner ready. Anyways, I love leftovers and the feeling I get of knowing there is something in the fridge ready for us to have. I love cooking, but it is so hard to spend an hour cooking after spending 8+ hours at work. So yes, I am grateful for leftovers and the fact that I don't have to cook dinner in order to have a home cooked meal.

November 10th - Day 10

I am so grateful for good running shoes. I love running, I started running after we got married and I have run constantly since then.  Back to the running shoes, while shopping at Costco we found this awesome cheap training/running shoes. I was a little skeptical at first but I tried them on and Jason decided to buy them for me since my birthday was coming up. Let me just say they are amazing, I have not had any knee problems since I started running with those shoes. I have bought a couple of pairs to have them just in case Costco doesn't sell them again. They are the best shoes and the best part is that they are so light and my knee pain has gone away. I love my shoes, they make running so much better!!

November 9th - Day 9

I am so grateful for new friendships! today I went to the mall with Jennilyn, I work with her husband and we had dinner with them a few weeks ago. We became instant friends and today we went out to the mall. I had so much fun, we talked, shopped, laughed and just started an awesome friendship. I look forward to many more girl night outs with her. I feel so grateful for the opportunity to start new friendships, it is amazing how much friends can influence your life and make it so much better. Sorry no picture today, I left my camera at home and I was unable to take a picture of us.

November 8th - Day 8

Today I am grateful for beautiful sunsets.... yes today there was not one. I looked out my window at work and it was so dark at 5:30! what?! Yes, I was not very happy about it. I felt like I was leaving the office at 10:30 pm. I took this picture on our way to dinner on Friday. This is when I realized how much I actually like Utah, despite the ugly weather we had today. I love looking at this picture, it makes me so grateful for this beautiful world Heavenly Father created for us.

November 7th - Day 7

I am so grateful for Testimonies. I love the first Sunday of the month because of this, I love hearing people bare their Testimonies and hear them share their love for the Gospel. I am grateful I am a member of this Church and as time goes by my Testimony gets stronger and stronger. Every time I go to Church and the Temple I can feel it in my heart. I am grateful that my husband also has a strong Testimony of the Church and how together we strengthen our testimony.

November 6th - Day 6

Today I am grateful for the beautiful weather we had!!! I just love the fall, I think it is my favorite season. I love the colors of the leaves and how beautiful everything looks with their changing colors but today, the weather was unbelievable! It was nice and warm and so we decided to go out on a hike. Who knows when this weather will start getting all crazy again!

November 5th - Day 5

Today I am grateful for Date Night, I love going out on dates with Jason and I enjoy every time we get to go out. For our first few years of marriage Jason had to work most evenings. Ever since he left the Olive Garden we have been able to go out on dates most fridays! I love it. I am grateful that we are in a position where we can go out and enjoy an evening for the two of us where we get to forget about everything and just enjoy each other. We get to talk about our week, our future and we start planning ahead. I enjoy when we go out with friends but I like it more when it is just the two of us. I don't ask for much, as long as there is food and Jason I am okay with whatever we do. I look forward to date night every week and I love Fridays for that reason. Thanks Jason for being my date every Friday! =)

November 4th - Day 4

I am grateful for an Education. I know that while I was in school I complained that it was hard and that I couldn't wait to be done with school. Now I miss it, I miss doing homework, research and more than anything learning. I value my experience at BYU so much, I don't think I could have received a better Undergraduate education than the one I had. I loved campus during the fall, I loved starting a new semester going over the syllabus and the stress of getting everything done before finals. I am grateful that I was able to attend BYU and that because of the things I learned there I have an amazing job that I LOVE! This kinda goes along with being grateful for my parents who pushed me to get an education and more than anything go tried to give me the best education I could get, not only with school but with the values that they taught me at home. I have been so blessed with the education I have received in my life, every single school I went to taught me something new and I learned so much from all of them, not only scholastically but also about life. I am also grateful that Jason is receiving an education and that he is working so hard to get good grades and to get his degree! I admire the motivation he has to go through all those engineering and math classes. I am grateful that because of that education he is receiving one day he will be able to provide for our family, although he already does, he has such a good job and all because of his education! I hope my brothers are reading this, and that they understand how important it is to go to school and to get a degree.

November 3rd - Day 3

Today I am grateful for glasses and contacts. I was thirteen when I got my first pair of glasses I didn't wear them until I realized how blind I was... by then I was 18. I have been wearing contacts since I was 19 right before I left for BYU. I didn't want to wear glasses in college. I have loved wearing contacts ever since, but every once in a while I like wearing my glasses, I feel like I look classy and smart. I truly am grateful that I can wear contacts and glasses that help me see all the beautiful things around me.... well and basically just to be able to function, my eyesight is getting bad...

November 2nd - Day 2

I am grateful for Family, not just mine but also Jason's family. I have the most amazing parents, they have always been there for me and have always supported every decision I have made. I look up to them and think they have been great to me. I love my siblings, they are AWESOME, I miss them so much and I wish we could spend more time together. It is so hard for me to be so far away from my family. However, I am so grateful I have Jason's family so close. They are all amazing they have always treated me like I have always been part of the family. I am so grateful I have them so close to us and that I can count on them if I need anything. I am grateful that someday I will have my own family and that I am sealed to my husband for eternity. I truly believe that families are forever and I am so grateful that I can be with mine for eternity.

November 1st - DAY 1

Today I am grateful for my Husband. I know everyone says this, but I truly believe I married the best husband. He is just amazing every morning before he leaves he will come in and kiss me goodbye, he will do laundry and the dishes (which I HATE). He is the most kind, genuine, nice, selfless, GOOD LOOKING, giving, loving and considerate person I have ever met. He loves his family, he is so smart and he has such a Strong and Amazing testimony of the Gospel. I learn so much from him he is such a great example not only to me but to everyone that know him.  I married my best friend and everyday I wonder how I got so lucky to have him in my life. He is so good to me all the time, even when I am in a bad mood. I look forward to spending eternity with him.

Thanksgiving...

I know, I am way ahead of myself but I decided this year to try something new. I will post everyday this month mentioning something I am grateful for. So here it goes...

Family pictures

While Ray and Cameron were visiting we decided to take family pictures. My friend Kristin was our photographer and she did an amazing job... here are my favorites!

The rest of our summer

This summer was so much fun, we went boating, we spent time with family and we went on many hikes. Jason got an awesome internship and I started a new job in July. We both feel really blessed that we were able to find new jobs in such a tough economy. Here are some pictures of what we did this summer!

Lake Blanche Take 4

Every Year we hike Lake Blanche.... well every year since we have been married. It is one of our favorite hikes and we like doing it every year. I think that is probably one of the only traditions we have, for now. This year we decided to pick a tree and carve our initials along with the year we were married. I love this hike and I can't wait to do it again next year!

Hogle Zoo

Jason's company party was at the Zoo, they had dinner and closed the Zoo just for the company at 5. We had so much fun, the weather was nice, it was not so hot that day we actually had some rain. The food was great and I realized that Jason's company is way bigger than mine there were so many people there!!
